Donnie Smith Bike Show, March 2024

I went to the Donnie Smith Bike Show early on Saturday and waited in line for doors to officially to open at 9am.  I like to go early to have a chance to take photos before it gets really crowded.  A lot of people who attend early on Saturday head directly to the swap meet side anyway.  I've been attending since 2008 and the show always has a good variety of custom bikes and they always vary from year to year so it's never the same.  The timing of the show also means the riding season is typically right around the corner.  We just need this weekend's snow to melt and some rain to clean off the roads.

Zeus was one of three bikes Kevin Baas had at the show.  I've seen it a few times before but it's definitely a favorite.

Longest bike at the show was at the Heavy display.

Note the inverse paintjob on the two sides of the bike.

Your eyes aren't playing tricks... there's backlighting under the tank.

Kevin Baas' most recent builds helped highlight the work he does at his high school chopper class.

This was the 3rd show where I've seen this bike and it almost always has a crowd around it.  It gets a lot of attention, as it should.

It wouldn't be the Donnie Smith show without some big wheel baggers.

I just saw this bike at Mama Tried in Milwaukee.

That's it from this year's show.  To check out lots of photos I've taken in past years, click here.
